Hi Friend,
I have to confess - it happened again.
I was doing the task at-hand, and then, suddenly,
I found myself mid scroll.
Swipe. Like. Blink. Dissociate.
I didn’t mean to.
And what’s worse?
Comfort scrolling is the new comfort eating.
It gives the illusion of pause…
but leaves us more drained than before.
The scroll doesn’t soothe.
It pulls us into a whirlwind, a rabbit hole, or conversations we didn’t ask for.
We’re absorbing more information than we can process.
And the result is exhaustion that no 8-hour sleep can fix.
Overstimulation has become our “normal,” and with it:
😵💫 Heightened anxiety
😵💫 Trouble focusing
😵💫 Poor sleep
😵💫 That wired-tired feeling that the more we fight, the worse it gets
What we actually need is a return to our body.
And this week especially, this is the phrase I’ve been repeating like a mantra to clients, friends, family, myself:
Return to your body.
Can’t decide what to do next?
→ Get into your body.
Mind spinning? Overwhelmed?
→ Get into your body.
Enraged? Despairing? Confused?
→ Get into your body.
Tense, wired, achy?
→ Get into your body.
But let’s be mellow about it.
Your nervous system doesn’t need another demand.
It needs…
Soft belly breathing
Sensing safety in your own skin
Rest that doesn’t require guilt or burnout
Permission to unclench — mentally, emotionally, physically
A little more each day.
✨ Here's the most effective effortless way to "get in your body"
PC6 Acupressure Point Reset
On one wrist, locate the point three finger-widths below your wrist,
between the two tendons in the middle of your inner forearm.
(This is Pericardium 6 — a calming, anxiety-soothing acupressure point.)
🌀 Press gently for 1-2 minutes
🌀 Breathe in through your nose for 4, out through your nose for 4
🌀 Say: “It’s safe for me to relax right now.”
Let your body soften.
Even just a little.
That’s the win.
And if relaxation feels hard?
That’s not your fault.
It’s not a character flaw. It’s not laziness.
It’s a skill. It's a state we need to relearn and rewire into our way of being.
And it’s one we can relearn — together.
🌀 The Equinox Reset is Coming…
Next Monday, September 22, is the Autumn Equinox — a natural turning point, a chance to reset your rhythm and re-root into real nourishment.
I’m creating something to guide you back to yourself:
✨ A nervous system reset
✨ Gentle, powerful, embodied practice
✨ The softest-with-self way to get cosy this autumn
Details are coming later this week.
🧘♀️ In the Meantime:
→ Homebody
Live "nervous system repair with movement" class every Tuesday + Thursday — breath, acupressure + your body = Homebody
→ Core + Restore: Sunday, Sept 21
Core = 500 core-burning reps in 30 minutes. A sequence of core exercises and crazy repetitions to burn your core - the it hurts in a good way kind of class!
Restore = The second half of class is Restorative Yoga: long, supported poses designed to unwind the tension we’ve stored in our hips, spine, shoulders, and nervous system. This is where your body gets to fully exhale.
We move from burn → to breath.
From force → to full-body softness.
From holding it all → to being held. Y
You’ll leave feeling recharged, grounded, and relaxed in yourself.
No pressure. Just a pause.
You’re allowed to feel relaxed at home.
In your body.
