Subject: This pull-up setup is crazy effective for middle traps...

This is my favorite setup for VERY wide grip pull-ups...done using a pair of figure 8 utility straps.

These straps help take grip mostly out of the equation because of how they wrap around your wrists.

You hitch them around the rack frame or a bar just like you would a band, putting one end through the loop then tightening them up.

You just put your hands through and they act like grip assistance via wrist support.

The start of the exercise really digs into those middle traps because of the line of pull you get from using the straps. It's an awesome setup.

You can get these straps from Vector Athletics (called 8 Sling Utility Straps on their site) as well as excellent silicone bands (non-allergenic and not stinky)
