Have you noticed that we live in a culture that worships rushing —
rushing to do more, be more and have more than you,

rushing to heal, to “move on,” to keep up, to keep pleasing everyone and keep everything looking as it should.


We even use rushing as a justification for success:
“If I’m moving fast, I must be doing something right.”

BUT rushing…


• pulls us out of our bodies
• creates reactivity instead of clarity, peace and purpose
 plants the seeds for burnout, collapse, and self-extraction
keeps our nervous system in survival mode
makes emotional honesty impossible
• blocks the very safety we’re desperate for (!!)


What I’ve learned, especially this year, is that the opposite of rushing is not laziness. It’s self-respect.


As we continue into Samhain, we are now entering the dark moon phase leading into Wednesday’s New Moon in Scorpio - the moon of truth, depth, and emotional transformation.


And before we go any further, I want to say this clearly:

Don’t rush to be ok.
Allow space to let yourself transform.
