Hi Friend,
How's your heart? How are your feet?
No, really... how are you Friend?
I know life has felt like a lot lately. The world seems to be changing by the minute and, if you're anything like me, you're probably wondering where July has gone. Poof!
I realised the other day that I haven't written to you in months.
I've thought about it so many times, but every Sunday I'd tell myself, I'll write when things settle down.
The funny thing is... I don't think life ever really settles down. And truthfully, I don't think I'd want it to.
My life has definitely taken on a faster tempo recently, but I've been learning that if I'm going to keep saying yes to the things I love, I have to be just as intentional about creating space for a slower tempo also. So I've been protecting my quieter moments too.
Nonetheless, it's time to start where I am.
So here I am.
Tea in hand.
Writing to you.
Last week I mentioned that life has been wonderfully full...
And it really has.
I've been teaching (in IRELAND 😳😍) more than ever, spending time outdoors, meeting lovely new people, strengthening my roots here in West Cork, planting a few new ones and tending to the ones I've already planted.
At the same time, I've been quietly building something that feels deeply aligned. Something that's not only supporting the people I teach, but supporting and sustaining me too.
But...
That hasn't come without its challenges.
I'll share more about that tomorrow because I think it deserves its own note. Keep an eye on your inbox. 🤍
For today, I wanted to share something that's been sitting with me.
Lately, I've realised that why I move has completely changed.
For years, movement was something I did.
Now...
Movement is allows me to live with energy, vitality and regulation.
I stopped chasing how movement looked or how it should be:
Instead...
I've become interested in:
A body that can keep up with me!
And a body that fuels me to do more of what I love and knows how to recover through movement, rest and simple daily rituals.
And the funny thing is...
That's exactly what Homebody has quietly become too.
Not a place to perfect yoga poses.
Not another workout.
But a way of building rituals for your body and mind that sustains a full active and vibrant life.
Because movement isn't the goal.
A full life is.
And life is happening now.
