Subject: Over 40? Training TOO hard might be stopping your muscle gains...

This is CRITICAL information if you're a guy over 40, 50 or 60+...

It's been a hard lesson I've had to learn myself over the years, too. When I was in my 20's, I could beat the crap out of myself, recover like a monster and build muscle pretty easily.

I look back and I see I didn't really need to be as intelligent and deliberate with my training as I am now. I could power through just about anything.

Fast forward to today...I'm 44 years old...

...I still beat the crap out of myself (and do all kinds of insane things) but I'm smarter about it.

I pay more attention to recovery...I moderate my intensity and training volume so that I can keep making progress towards my training goals, whether it's mass or strength. I listen to what my body is telling me.

Over the past few years, when I wanted to build muscle, I would purposefully NOT push myself to the limit every workout, as I would when I was younger.

Because now, if I DID push myself that hard, it would set me back.

Muscle growth is an energy-intensive process. And as you get older, those processes aren't quite as efficient.

You have to make even MORE sure that you're not breaking yourself down too much in each session. Your body may take too long to recover from it before your next session breaks you down again...over time, this will make you go backwards, not forwards.

This is true at any age, but is absolutely critical as you get older.

And this is the reason I absolutely LOVE the approach Steve Holman has taken with his new program, Anabolic Reload.

I had mentioned this program in a previous email to you, but I wanted to make very sure you know what it's all about.

It's a way to basically CONVINCE your body to build muscle by stimulating and encouraging growth, not by crushing it into oblivion. This is good stuff no matter what age you are.

Steve is 58 years old and he's in PHENOMENAL shape. He's one of the smartest trainers I know and is a personal inspiration to me. His work has been extremely influential in my own approaches to training.

You can trust his methods.

To me, it's a no-brainer offer, especially if you're over 40 and want to build muscle. This approach will do the trick for you.
