Rain. It is a welcome relief from scorching heat. On Kauai, we receive more than 300+ inches per year at our highest peak, Mt Waialeale - one of the highest rainfall averages on the entire planet. For many who have been to the Hawaiian Islands, Kauai is like no other. With abundant waterfalls, majestic coastlines, and a slow river pace of life, people find themselves pining to return again and again. Israel Kamakawiwo'ole made the song "Hele On To Kauai" (written by Al Nobriga) famous with its gushing lyrics about all that is simple, sweet, and delightful about this special place on the planet. Though I've called Kauai home for nearly 9 years, my little feet first touched her sands at 3 months old. There's a pic to prove it in my baby book! No wonder she has always felt so familiar. And don't get me started on the lore of Lumeria and Hawaii's connection to the Pleiades... I'll save that story for your visit!

It is no wonder that Cloud Nine Yoga School has found its base in Hawaii, associated with bliss, enlightenment, and being 'on top of the world.' The clouds here are magnificent, and the highest, most impressive marshmallow-puff-ball cumulonimbus clouds hang over our inland and upland valleys, cooling the air. With loads of sunshine and clouds, we live in a land of rainbows.
