| This Sunday is a FULL DAY with Potluck and Herb Planting at 11 AM.
SUNDAY SERVICE (10 AM - Apr 5) Our music this week is provided by Keith Vickers on sax and Paul Watts on piano. Wahoo! Then Barbara Beckham shares "Celebrating the Small Stuff: How Being Thankful Can Become Our Greatest Tool."
POTLUCK and HERB PLANTING (11 AM - Apr 5) Not something you usually see in the same header, but it IS what's happening. We usually do a butterfly release on Easter, but last year was a wee bit too cold for our winged friends, so we will be doing that Sunday April 26th. THIS Sunday, in honor of Easter and Spring, we will plant seeds of a dozen or so herbs such as Parsley, Lemon Balm, Mint, Dill, Sage, Thyme, Chives, Cilantro, Calendula, German Chamomile, Bee Balm, Meadowsweet, and Lavender. As the season goes by we will enjoy watching them grow and flower and maybe even take some home for cooking or medicinal purposes.
While the planting is happening, we'll also be digging into our monthly potluck dinner so bring your favorite sharable dish and join in the fun. No time to make food, no worries, there's always plenty to go around.
Whether you start with planting or eating, it's all good as we celebrate LIFE together! | | Twenty folks joined together on the chapel deck for the full moon drum circle on Wednesday 4/1. With drums, all kinds of percussion instruments, digeridoos, and inspired vocals, we had a grand time flowing with the beat. | | If you missed it, no worries. We'll have another one next month! Watch the newsletter and/or website for the exact date. | | ROBERTO OBREGON (2-4 PM, Sunday, April 12) World class guitarist, singer, and composer ROBERTO OBREGON will perform Sunday, April 12, from 2-4 pm in the dappled shade of the Wayfarers deck overlooking the beautiful Estatoah Creek.
Obregon offers a special blend of classic Latin, jazz, pop, and Blues. From his silky and soulful Blues tones to textured Bolero and raspy wails of Flamenco, Obregon gives it up in a big way. Be sure to add April 12 to your calendar.
Admission is by your generous donations. Refreshments available. Wayfarers Chapel is located at 182 Wayfarer Lane, Dillard, GA. In the event of rain, the show will move inside.
THE READING ROOM (6:30 PM, Friday, April 17) This is your chance to experience the amazing talents of our writers as members of the Wayfarers Writers Group publicly read selected works. This "full house" event is held in the main chapel. Refreshments will be served. | | 40 years of love, community, and spiritual growth at Wayfarers Chapel is a beautiful milestone worth celebrating! The Wayfarers Board would love your input and assistance in planning a truly memorable event to mark this special occasion.
We will gather in Rosemary's Chapel from 11:15 AM TO 12:00 PM on April 12th to share ideas and begin creating a vision together. No planning experience needed - just bring your enthusiasm. And if you feel inspired to help lead or organize, please let a Board member know -- we are grateful for your gifts and energy.
Later this year, we will come together in joy, gratitude, and community to honor the past and inspire the future. Date to be announced later. | | Ruth Henry shared song and heart through whistling, guitar and vocals, and sing-a-long musical chants. Kim May reminded us that we are the bridge between "The All that IS" and our beloved planet Earth. |
