Buddhist nun Lama Yeshe Palmo (aka Peggy Turco) will be teaching a course covering traditional Tibetan Buddhist meditation methods.

WRITER'S GROUP (Tuesday 5-6:30 PM - October 27th)

If there is a writer inside you itching to get out, join this supportive group to stretch your wings and develop new skills. Meets Tuesday evening in the chapel. No experience necessary.

OPELSKE (Saturday 9 AM - October 26th)

Leaf season is in full swing and the sidewalks, gutters and parking areas need extra attention. Contact Joyce Oliver at (828) 200-9160 for more information.

SUNDAY SERVICE (Sunday 10 AM - November 1st)

This week Jennifer Utley will be our host and Marie Dunkle will join Lee J. Howard to provide music. Our speaker will be Charlotte Starfire who will share her topic "Thinning of the Veils: Multicultural Spiritual Traditions for Honoring the Ancestors", followed by a special Pot Luck in remembrance of those we miss.

POT LUCK (Sunday 11:00 AM November 1st)

As we come together to share food in this season of All Saints Day, Dia de las Muertos, Pitru Paksha and other traditions that make offerings of food on behalf of those that have crossed the rainbow bridge,  please bring a favorite dish to share that your dear ones enjoyed.  It might be a family tradition that many brought to the table before you started preparing it, or, it might just be the favorite of one special person.  Bring a little note telling us who you are honoring with this delicious food, so that we can all relish and remember your beloveds.

ANNUAL REPORT (Sunday 11:30 AM November 1st)

There will be a meeting following Pot Luck where the Board will share the annual report. We will review the chapel's finances, talk about goals for the coming year and announce new Board members. Your attendance is encouraged.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

This week Charlotte Starfire was our host and Charlie Simmons entertained us with some fun songs and great picking. Dr. Guy Gober gave his first talk at Wayfarer's. His topic was "Our Heritage - The Mounds". Past Sunday Talks can be found here.
