WRITERS GROUP (5:00 PM, Tuesday, July 7th)

The Writers Group is a gathering of people of all writing types, styles and abilities who meet each week to share their craft and give one another feedback. Everyone with an interest is encouraged to attend whether you've never written before or have years of experience.

This Sunday's host will be Celena Brown. Our music will be provided by Crowe Capps and will be followed by Lisa Ezzard's message "Getting Close to the Source".

SAVE THE DATE

PORCH CONCERT (2 - 4 PM July 19th)

Two Legendary “pickers” and singer/songwriters, Charlie Simmons and

Bill Peterson, are excited to bring their award-winning talent and easy listening groove to the Wayfarers Deck. Pack your lawn chair and favorite beverage for a Sunday afternoon of great, heartfelt music to make you smile along the banks of beautiful Estatoah Creek. Concerts are free, but tips for musicians are appreciated. We will be inside if the weather doesn't coppoerate.

OPELSKI (9 AM - July 25th)

If you are a gardener or just love the land where our chapel is located, join the Opelski team on the last Saturday of each month. A group of folks who appreciate the beauty of our location get together and work to care for it. Contact Joyce for more information.

DRUM CIRCLE (9 - 8 PM July 26th)

Our next drum circle is July 26th. If the weather is good we will be out on the porch. Otherwise, we'll be inside. No experience necessary. If you have a drum, percussion, or other instrument, bring it. If not, we have plenty of instruments to share.

READING ROOM (6:30 PM August 14th)

This is your chance to experience the amazing talents of our writers as members of the Wayfarers Writers Group publicly read selected works. The creativity of these writers is a treasure. Hope to see you there. Light refreshments will be available.

IN CASE YOU MISSED IT

Last Sunday Jen Utley was our host. The Daily Word was interdependence which lead nicely into our discussion topic. We were treated to some original music by Greg Thomas and Al Scortino who played guitar, slide guitar, violin and accordion! Jen lead our discussion of Civility - reminding us that our behavior, words and intent impact others, that everyone has value and that our shared humanity outranks our differences. This discussion - and other talks you may have missed - are available by clicking here.  Or click the Sunday Talks link on our webpage.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
