ANOTHER BIG WEEK

ROBERTO OBREGON CONCERT

and

WAYFARERS 40th ANNIVERSARY

PLANNING MEETING

More Details Below

MEDITATION (5 PM - Monday, April 6)

Join us at 5 PM Monday for an hour of quiet meditation in RoseMary's Chapel. We will be transitioning to a new date and time, so this will be our last Monday meditation. Watch the newsletter for new day and time.

WRITERS GROUP (5:30 PM - Tuesday, April 7)

The Writers Group will be rehearsing this Tuesday for their April 17th presentation.

SUNDAY SERVICE (10 AM - April 12)

Musicians Chris and Carol Moser will be joining us from Atlanta, and Keith Vickers' message this week is "We Can Learn a Lot from Birds." Stick around after the service for light refreshments and the opportunity to visit with friends ... and maybe make some new ones!

WAYFARERS 40th ANNIVERSARY

PLANNING MEETING (11:15 to Noon - Sunday, April 12)

We will gather in Rosemary's Chapel from 11:15 AM to 12:00 PM on April 12th to share ideas and begin creating a vision together for how to celebrate Wayfarers 40 years of being a light in this community. No planning experience needed - just bring your ideas and enthusiasm. And if you feel inspired to help lead or organize, please let a Board member know -- we are grateful for your gifts and energy. If you can't be present, but have Wayfarers memories or celebration ideas you'd like to share, please contact Jennifer Utley at 901.581.2404.

ROBERTO OBREGON CONCERT (2-4 PM, Sunday, April 12)

World-class guitarist, singer, and composer Roberto Obregon will perform Sunday, April 12, from 2-4 pm in the dappled shade of the Wayfarers' deck overlooking the beautiful Estatoah Creek. Obregon offers a special blend of classic Latin, jazz, pop, and blues. From his silky and soulful Blues tones to textured Bolero and raspy wails of Flamenco, Obregon gives it up in a big way. Admission is by your generous donations. Refreshments available. In the event of rain, the show will move inside.

Tell your neighbors, friends, and family, and we'll see you soon!

OPELSKE

A CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

The growing season has begun, and we are seeking volunteers for our Opelske team to care for our grounds. If you love working with plants and the earth, this is a great opportunity to serve the chapel and be in a state of meditation at the same time!. Please contact Joyce Oliver at 828.200.9160  for more information on how you can help.

SAVE THE DATE

THE READING ROOM (6:30 PM, Friday, April 17)

This is your chance to experience the amazing talents of our writers as members of the Wayfarers Writers Group publicly read selected works. This "full house" event is held in the main chapel. Refreshments will be served.

DRUM CIRCLE (6-8 PM, Friday, May 1st)

Our next drum circle is May 1st on the full moon. With good weather we are on the deck ... if it rains, we simply move the fun inside! Bring your drum, percussion, or vibration instrument and jump right in. No drum, no problem, we have plenty of options to share.

LAST WEEK

Our music last Sunday was provided by Keith Vickers on sax and Paul Watts on piano, and Barbara Beckham shared the message "Celebrating the Small Stuff: How Being Thankful Can Become Our Greatest Tool."

After EVERYONE found their own personal Easter Egg, the seriously adventurous prepared for the big hunt!

And then, in celebration of Spring, we planted herb seeds and enjoyed the great food and festive cheer of our Easter Potluck

MISS ME?

A large container of pineapple and watermelon was left at the chapel Sunday. The fruit went to a good home. The container (round with clear body and red top) can be picked up at the chapel next week.

THOUGHT FOR THE WEEK
