Subject: VPHi: In silico trials and Clinical Biomechanics session @ ESB2020

Dear VPHi members,
We would like to bring to your attention the 26th Congress of the European Society of Biomechanics that will take place in Milan (Italy) on 12-15 July 2020. Full details on the event can be found here: https://esbiomech.org/conference/esb2020/

Amongst the many relevant topics for the VPH community, the VPH Institute has specifically endorsed a track on ‘In Silico Trials and Clinical Biomechanics’ (TR22) chaired by Marco VICECONTI (University of Bologna, Italy) and Richie GILL (University of Bath, UK).

In Silico Trials, the use of modelling & simulation to evaluate the safety and efficacy of new medical products (drugs, devices, ATMPs), is at a critical juncture as we are driving it out of the labs where it was born in to the clinical and regulatory use, not without facing resistances. The ESB2020 conference provides the perfect audience to present In Silico Trials work with significant biomechanics content.

Abstract submission is now open (https://esbiomech.org/conference/esb2020/guidelines/) and the two deadlines for submission are 30/11/2019 (1st deadline for perspective talks) and 31/01/2019 (all abstracts including 2nd round for perspective talks).

On behalf of the session chairs, we would like to encourage members working on the in silico trials field to submit abstracts for this session.
Best regards
VPHi team
