We’ve been blessed with remarkably cooperative weather since construction began, and we’re affirming that will continue as we move into another important phase of the project!
Over the next couple of weeks, the primary focus will be bringing in, placing, and compacting the fill dirt inside the building footprint to bring it up to slab grade. As you can see in the photo above, the crew got a good start on Monday before a substantial afternoon downpour brought the work to a pause.
Rain is a blessing too, so we’ll chalk it all up to God’s divine plan and pick up where we left off as soon as conditions allow. As the fill continues to go in, we should see the interior of the building change considerably over the next couple of weeks!
Our
beautiful new Church Home is being built for us in wisdom, love, and
divine timing and we are ready to receive it!

I've seen the toll taken, the tears that were shed. I've seen the journey started and the ripples spread.
Some people say that's just not my problem. Some people do what must be done.
Sometimes the darkness is all we can see. We can’t envision what the future will be.
But, in our hearts is that which can guide us, so we can do what must be done.
We see the hole in the fabric that must be sewn. We see the way blockaded and we roll back the stone. We see the day beyond the horizon and we do what must be done. |

Bring the Kids to Church Every Sunday!! |

After a long time coming, we’ve started something new—there’s now a kids table set up in the back every Sunday!
For this season, our services are all about being together as a family while we wait for our new building and dedicated kids spaces. It’s simple, but it feels like a really meaningful step forward.
Deanna has graciously stepped up to welcome and care for our kids each week. She’ll have coloring activities available, along with a couple of iPads for them to use. Kids are also welcome to bring a tablet or phone to enjoy quietly during the service.

Jesus "said … 'You shall love the Lord, your God, with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind. This is the greatest and the first commandment. The second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself" (Mt., 22:37-40).
In this breath, in this moment, I remember what is true. Love is the only answer. |

The group includes men and women and there's always great discussion!

Our Wednesday evening half-hours of meditation are presented as a "Spring to Autumn Series" of Unity Prayer Services drawn from The Healing Letters of Myrtle Fillmore (1936) - Cofounder of the Unity Movement - as compiled and shared by our Senior Minister, Leddy Hammock, from extracts of letters written by Myrtle in answer to letters from those who wrote to her for spiritual guidance over decades of her leadership in Silent Unity.

insights into Hebrew Studies and Unity allegorical Bible
interpretation. It's awesome to see how these paths intertwine to teach
Truth!
Walk with these two longtime friends and colleagues who
are also longtime Bible scholars through intriguing stories in the Torah
with insights from the Gospels as well.
You
can just listen or you can also ask questions and join in the
discussion during this unique, rich, and fulfilling exploration.

Stan Lee (born Stanley Martin Lieber; December 28, 1922 – November 12, 2018, the son of Romanian born Jewish American parents) was an American comic book writer, editor, publisher, and producer. His pen name was derived from rearranging the letters of his first name; he rose through the ranks of a family-run business called Timely Comics, which later became Marvel Comics. He was Marvel's primary creative leader for two decades, expanding it from a small publishing house division to a multimedia corporation that dominated the comics and film industries.
In collaboration with others at Marvel—particularly co-plotters and artists Jack Kirby and Steve Ditko—he co-created iconic characters, including Spider-Man, the X-Men, Iron Man, Thor, the Hulk, Ant-Man, the Wasp, the Fantastic Four, Black Panther, Daredevil, Doctor Strange, the Scarlet Witch, and Black Widow. These and other characters' introductions in the 1960s pioneered a more naturalistic approach in superhero comics.
Following his retirement from Marvel in the 1990s, Lee remained a public figurehead for the company. He frequently made cameo appearances in films and television shows based on Marvel properties, on which he received an executive producer credit, which allowed him to become the actor with the highest-grossing film total ever. He continued independent creative ventures until his transition, aged 95, in 2018. |
