 | We don’t have a new construction photo to share this week, so we thought it was a good opportunity to bring back the rendering of our new church home. As we work through these important—but sometimes less visible—stages of construction, it’s nice to keep our eyes on where we’re headed!
Our site and utility contractor, West Coast Underground, has now completed the underground stormwater system, with the roof drain connections to be completed later. They’ll be demobilizing from the site in the coming days, making room for the next trades to move in.
We also received approval on the Proctor test for the fill dirt, confirming that the material is suitable and establishing the requirements for proper compaction. Beginning Wednesday morning, MoJo Hauling will start bringing in, placing, and compacting the fill inside the building footprint. This should bring a very noticeable change to the site as the interior of the foundation is gradually brought up to slab grade.
Even when there isn’t a dramatic change to photograph, the pieces continue to fall into place as we prepare for the next phase of our new church home.
Our
beautiful new Church Home is being built for us in wisdom, love, and
divine timing and we are ready to receive it!

This Sunday: Leddy Hammock - Simple Answers |
|
Highlights:
Inspired by lyrics to "A Simple Prayer" by JD Martin, Glen Roethel, and Sue Riley
This world can seem so crazy and I don’t know what to do.
Looking at your face, my friend, I guess you feel the same way, too.
All I have are questions: What is right and what is fair? And so, we raise our voices in this simple prayer.
I’ve been running out of patience with this land I love. Help me breathe through the frustration. You know I care so much.
In this breath, in this moment, I remember what is true. Love is the only answer. So, I share this prayer with you. |

Bring the Kids to Church Every Sunday!! |
|
After a long time coming, we’ve started something new—there’s now a kids table set up in the back every Sunday!
For this season, our services are all about being together as a family while we wait for our new building and dedicated kids spaces. It’s simple, but it feels like a really meaningful step forward.
Deanna has graciously stepped up to welcome and care for our kids each week. She’ll have coloring activities available, along with a couple of iPads for them to use. Kids are also welcome to bring a tablet or phone to enjoy quietly during the service.
A big thanks to Deanna for helping make this possible! |

Last Sunday's Shining Words:
"Be still, and know that I am God” (Ps 46:10).
This is what I know: That we are all connected, the universe reflected in each shining part. |

"All prayers are answered by the Father. Whenever a prayer remains unanswered in the manifest realm, we can be sure that somewhere there is a closed door between us and the Giver; for every prayer of every soul represents some need that in its purified form, God is seeking to push forth into the manifest world. This loving One is ever seeking to manifest Himself through His children as health, joy, beauty, wealth …. [God] is all-knowing, all-powerful, ever present … [and] does hear and will give us the bread we crave instead of the stone that we manifest. Only those who become quiet and listen become still enough to hear the 'still small voice' that gives this assurance. Such an assurance builds and strengthens faith, and it is only those who have faith in the ability and willingness of God to answer their prayers that are capable of receiving…. It is possible for our prayers to receive an answer in the twinkling of an eye, instantaneously, a glorified manifestation that is astounding, because we have asked with a faith that has given our desire into the will of the Highest" (Frances Foulkes, Effectual Prayer). |
