| Dear Unity Family,
We are remembering together, looking to the future together, and praying together in the now moment.
We remember where we were on 9/11; we stood together, the small staff of Unity Church of Clearwater, watching the television screen in the Bookstore as the first plane struck the tower in New York City. We thought it might have been a terrible accident. We were still watching the scene when the second plane struck and we all gasped together. How can this be?
We heard ourselves speak the words, "What have they done?" followed by, "and what will we do? . . ."
The world has witnessed the terrible aftermath. Through our tears, we remember our resolve not to let this grievous event divide us in that moment of time. As the future has unfolded, we continue to affirm today that, no matter what, our strength is in our union. We have fought hard to make our nation a place of welcome and to build a better world together where peace prevails. Let us keep focused on that vision. Now and in the days to come, united, we rise up.
In our Unity of Spirit, we are one and we stand for justice and for love.
Let there be peace on earth and let it begin in every heart.
