Subject: The Prices Write (August 2025)

Thank you for your financial support and your faithful prayers for the work of Bible translation among the Roma. Please continue to pray for long-lasting fruit to come from our summer outreach in Croatia in June (pictured above).

Please pray that the Lord will use the songs we sang, the stories we acted out, the Bible verses we memorized, and the love we showed to the 100 Roma kids to make disciples of Jesus in these two Roma villages (see Ariela playing with kids above).

Please also pray that the Lord will give the Roma kids a strong desire to read and listen to the Gospel of Luke and 50 chronological Bible stories we have translated into their two languages. Pray that God will use the books and cards with Internet links we distributed to help them immerse themselves in God’s Word and to allow God’s Word to take root in them (see Todd playing the audio and showing them Bible stories above).

Please also pray that we can find translators for their two languages, Bayash and Ludari, to translate more of the Bible into their languages. At present, we only have Luke and 50 chronological Bible stories. Please pray that we can find translators and funders to complete more of the New Testament in their languages soon.

Translation work in the other languages is going very well. We’ve checked Genesis chapters 1-46 in the Serbian Arli language and Matthew chapters 1-16 in the Macedonian Arli language. After completing these books, we will check their translation drafts of Joshua in Serbian Arli and 1-2 Timothy in Macedonian Arli.

The teams have finished recording the entire New Testament in the Serbian Arli language and are currently recording it in the Gurbet language. Pray they can find good readers for the Chergash language to record the New Testament in that language as well.

We taught the missions segment of Vacation Bible School at our church, CrossWay Bible Church in Blue Springs, MO. It was an excellent opportunity to challenge our local kids with a vision that they too can be missionaries (see Pam teaching above).

Todd has also been preaching, teaching, and sharing our missions updates locally in KC. He will be traveling to South Africa soon for meetings in his role as Regional Consultant Coordinator for The Word for the World Bible translators.

Daniel (pictured above) has been doing a lot of work repairing our house and will soon begin shadowing a friend from church to learn plumbing, electric, and HVAC. Ariela was able to attend a second Bible camp when a spot became available for those on the waiting list. And, we are excited about the birth of our first grandchild; Elizabeth is due in late August.
