Dear praying friends,

Thank you for your encouraging support and prayers. Here is a brief update:

1. We've been back in the States 12 weeks now and have spoken at 11 churches and put over 5,500 miles on the van as we travel and report on our missionary work to those who support us in prayer and finances. The picture above of Ariela contentedly traveling in her car seat many hours, and the one below of her and Daniel enjoying supper on one of our trips, are common place. We thank the Lord for safety in travels, warm hospitality and for those who are partners through giving and praying for this ministry.

2. We praise God that our teammate, Joy Hill, has 100% of her monthly support pledged so she will be moving from Melbourne, Australia, to Budapest, Hungary, on Monday, August 31. Thank God with us for this great answer to prayer!

3. Please pray for Joy in these last few days of preparation in Australia as she finalizes packing, says goodbye to family and friends, and takes the very, very long flights across Asia and Europe to reach Hungary.

4. Please pray for Joy as she settles into life again in Budapest, that she will be able to get her residency visa quickly and easily, and for a good vehicle for her.

5. We are very saddened that our friend and colleague with IMB in Serbia, Andrea, was diagnosed with breast cancer. This is very traumatic as she, her husband and five children had to quickly pack and move to New York within a week's time. Please pray for healing for Andrea, grace and strength as the children adjust to brand new public schools, and strength for Chris leading the family in this time of crisis.

6. Please pray for Matthew (17) as he adjusts to being an early college student at Calvary Bible College. He started full-time classes this week. He is also working at Target as a cashier and doing a great job.

7. Pray also for Matthew as he does practice driving with me in order to get enough hours behind the wheel to take his driver's test. We've already had a very scary close call, completely not Matthew's fault, when someone pulled right in front of him, we swerved and hit a curb and fence, and the person left the scene without even stopping. God's providence was amazing in that it was 10 a.m. in the morning and a businessman "happened" to be walking by on the sidewalk at the time. He saw it all and witnessed that it was not our fault. He "happened" to work at the place where the driver worked and got the security video tapes to track down the driver. And it "happened" to be his fence at his house which we hit, but he was witness to the fact that it wasn't our fault. Please pray the other driver's insurance, even though she left the scene, will pay for car and fence damages.

8. We have enjoyed warm welcomes while speaking recently in Walker, Iowa and Newburg (Grinnell), Iowa. This Sunday I speak at Duncan Road Church, 430 NE Duncan Road, Blue Springs, MO. Pray that I will speak with freshness and power and for good connections with this great church.

9. Pray also for the Lord's enablement as I prepare messages to speak at 4 missions conferences in the next several weeks.

10. To read a great article on the children's Bible clubs with Roma which took place this summer, see the second article on this page: http://us1.campaign-archive1.com/?u=b7f399ff61ea2f4799376196f&id=694882ac3e&e=d2cea6fd49

Thank you all so much for praying,
Todd
