Subject: Touring, preaching, visiting: Croatia summer outreach, #4

Thank you for your continued prayers. On Friday, we took the summer team members by train to Zagreb, the capital city of Croatia. It was relaxing to see the cathedrals from the outside, enjoy good pizza, coffee, and ice cream, and buy souvenirs. The following morning, on Saturday, we took them to the airport for their very early morning flights back home to the States, and then packed up everything from the ministry house in Sisak and drove to Slavonski Brod, the city where we used to live.

On Sunday, Todd preached at the church we used to attend, Slavonski Brod Baptist Church, we spent the afternoon with the pastor and his family, and then in the evening visited the Bible translators who did the translation of Luke and the Bible stories for Ludari, and then Pam and Ariela hung out with some of the Pioneers missionaries, while Daniel did some yardwork for other Pioneers missionaries.

On Monday, we traveled to Vukovar, Croatia (a 1.5-hour drive away), and spent the day with Bible translators for the Arli and Chergash languages. We then went shopping at our old haunts in Slavonski Brod, while Daniel stayed and fixed more things for our Pioneer colleagues.

Above and below are pictures with the summer team, the local church, and pastor, and some of the Bible translators.

Thank you for your continued prayers. We’ll be here in Croatia for two more days.

Blessings,

Todd
