As Valentine’s Day turns many people’s thoughts to matters of the heart, the health professionals of Spencer Hospital encourage community members to specifically focus on their heart health. To encourage routine fitness walking for healthy hearts, the hospital is inviting you to join in a fun virtual walk from Spencer to Valentine, NE, which is just 311 miles away! The virtual walk will start on Tuesday, Feb. 6 and go through Monday, Feb. 12.
We encourage individuals to track and report their healthy miles walked, which is easy to do using our online reporting form. For each mile walked, the participants’ name will be entered into a drawing for a creative basket of Valentine goodies, compliments of the Spencer Hospital Gift Shop – just in time for you to enjoy for the holiday or gift it to someone who has captured your heart.
