Learn About Cancer in Clay County with the Iowa Cancer Registry

Want to learn about how cancer is impacting Clay County? Join us on Thursday, July 24 from 5-6 PM at Spencer Hospital for a free meeting open to the public with the Iowa Cancer Registry to review local cancer data, discuss concerns specific to Clay County, and voice suggestions for improving cancer outcomes in the community.


This meeting will include time for open discussion. Your feedback can help improve cancer outcomes. We hope to see you there!

New Emergency Department Community Tours & Open House

Come explore our newly constructed Emergency Department during our come-and-go community events! Guided tours will be offered on Tuesday, August 5 from 5 to 7 PM and Thursday, August 7 from 11:30 AM to 1:30 PM. These tours provide an opportunity to learn about the new features designed to enhance patient care. Please use the new Emergency Department entrance on E 11th Street.


The new Emergency Department will be open for patients starting at 8 AM on August 13th.

Bump to Baby: Your Journey to Motherhood and Beyond

Spencer Hospital is excited to host a new event created for expecting moms, new moms, seasoned moms, and anyone planning for the future. Join us on Saturday, August 16 from 9-11 AM for a free, come-and-go event focused on your motherhood journey.


Attendees are invited to visit informational booths and take guided tours of our Birth Center. Guest speaker Dr. Amy Jochims, Family Medicine Physician with Avera Medical Group Spencer, will offer valuable insights relevant to moms at every stage. Childcare will be available during the event, allowing you to participate fully and comfortably.
