Mercury Retrograde is great clickbait but the proof is on the side of sanity. Retrogrades as a broad phenomenon have never been proven to move any needles.

Mini lesson in retrogrades:

A planet in either apparent direction of motion, direct or retrograde, can affect you big time, but only if it touches a planet or planets in your own birth chart.

It isn't the direction of the motion that has the effect.
The effect is produced by the specific planets, specific angle, and specific timing.
