Save Bear Creek Stables

To our fellow equestrians,

Friends of Bear Creek Stables (FBCS) is raising funds to keep Bear Creek Stables open, continue to operate it, and offer equine-based programs for the next generation of equestrians. They’re closing in on their fund- raising goal — We need your help!

The Mounted Patrol Foundation (MPF) has already donated $10,000 and is helping to raise further funds by matching donations, up to $10,000, from outside donors—a wonderful opportunity to double your impact and help make this vision a reality.

Last fall, the community came together and convinced the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District (Midpen) to keep Bear Creek Stables OPEN!

FBCS was selected to operate the stables and to add equine-based programs for a wide range of people. With your help, FBCS will offer programs for the next generation of equestrians. Schoolchildren, young adults, veterans, and those of varying abilities will get to experience horses in the setting of Bear Creek Redwoods Open Space Preserve.

Midpen will make a $6 million investment in infrastructure improvements, but first Friends of Bear Creek Stables, a 501(c)(3) non-profit, must raise $250,000 of operating capital to begin offering programs. They are over 80% of the way to their goal.

Help fill this horseshoe and qualify for our 1:1 match, so FBCS can preserve Bear Creek Stables and bring exciting equine- and nature-based programs, classes, workshops, and camps
