ICE DINOSAURS: The Lost World of the Alaskan Arctic Exhibit Opens
January 20 at Sloan Museum of Discovery in Flint

Sloan Museum of Discovery in Flint will host ICE DINOSAURS: The Lost World of the Alaskan Arctic, an exhibition that takes visitors of all ages on an extraordinary journey through time to explore the majestic ice-age creatures of the Alaskan Arctic. Produced by Imagine and generously sponsored by the Nartel Family Foundation, this immersive experience will be open to the public from January 20-May 3, 2026.

Through life-size reconstructions, fossils, and multimedia exhibits, ICE DINOSAURS invites visitors to experience these magnificent creatures and learn about the mysteries of the Alaskan Arctic during the age of dinosaurs. The exhibition also provides a rare glimpse into how paleontologists uncover clues about these long-extinct species and what they tell us about Earth’s ancient past.

Dinosaur fans who come to ICE DINOSAURS will also want to see the new show at Longway Planetarium across the street, T.Rex: The Greatest of All Tyrants, which also opens January 20. If you plan on going to both venues on the same day, ask Guest Services about the discounted combo-ticket option.

If you are a member of Sloan Museum and Longway Planetarium, don't forget to RSVP for the Member Preview for both T.Rex and ICE DINOSAURS on January 19, 4-7 p.m. Members must RSVP by January 14 online at SloanLongway.org/Membership, via email at MFitzpatrick@SloanLongway.org, or by calling the Membership Coordinator at (810) 237-3457.

The ICE DINOSAURS interactive exhibition will be open to the public daily January 20 through May 3, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturdays, and Noon-5 p.m. Sundays. Tickets to both ICE DINOSAURS and T.Rex are available to purchase in person at Sloan Museum or Longway Planetarium Guest Services desks, online at SloanLongway.org, or by calling Guest Services at (810) 237-3450. Both venues are located in the Flint Cultural Center campus on East Kearsley Street, Flint, MI. Learn more about the ICE DINOSAURS exhibition at SloanLongway.org/Ice-Dinos
