Subject: Stress relief that actually works

Simple tools to calm the body, reduce stress overload, and feel more grounded each day.

Hello Community,

I wanted to share an upcoming workshop I’ll be offering in April called Stress Relief That Actually Helps.

Stress can show up in so many ways — irritability, cravings, poor sleep, tension in the body, racing thoughts, overwhelm, or simply feeling like you can never fully exhale.

In this workshop, we’ll explore simple, practical tools to help calm the body, reduce stress overload, and feel more grounded in everyday life.

One of the things we’ll talk about is how stress relief does not always need to be complicated to be effective. In fact, when the body is overwhelmed, simple support often works best.

We’ll begin with a gentle practice called pause, notice, breathe, support — a way to slow the moment down and ask, What is one small thing that would help me feel more supported right now? Sometimes that looks like a few slower breaths, stepping outside, drinking water, softening your shoulders, or taking a short break from overstimulation. Small shifts can make a meaningful difference.

This workshop will be offered in two formats:

In person
Tuesday, April 14 at 1:00 PM
Wey of Life Peer Recovery Center
383 Bridge Street
North Weymouth, MA

Virtual
Thursday, April 23 at 7:30 PM
This will be the same workshop content, just offered on Zoom.

Meeting ID: 885 0854 8501
Passcode: 951244

My goal is to make this a supportive and approachable conversation with takeaways that feel realistic and easy to use. Participants will leave with a better understanding of how stress can affect the body and mind, along with a few gentle tools they can begin using right away.

I’d love to have you join us, whether in person or virtually.

Warmly,

Dr. Kat
