Subject: How to Keep the Calories Down on Thanksgiving

IT’S THANKSGIVING,
SO LET'S MAKE SURE THE ONLY THING THAT GETS OVERSTUFFED IS THE TURKEY!

It can be hard to get through the holidays without gaining weight. In fact, the average American eats 4500 calories on
Thanksgiving Day!

WITH THIS IN MIND, HERE ARE MY TOP 4 TIPS TO HELP YOU MAKE IT THROUGH THE HOLIDAY...
  1. Don't skip breakfast. Make sure to eat something even if it's on the smaller side like an apple with almond butter or a green smoothie. Otherwise, you may end up wolfing down way more food than you planned.
  2. Dress the way you would any other day in jeans or slacks. Avoid wearing clothes with expandable waistbands like sweat pants or yoga pants. This will help put you in the mindset that you're not going to over do it.
  3. When you get to dessert, use the 3 bites rule. Why? The first bite is as good as you think it's going to be, flavorful and delicious. The second bite is also good but not as good as the first bite. By the third bite, the food isn't going to taste any better, so you might as well stop.
  4. If you've been invited to someone's home and you're not sure what's on the menu, offer to bring a healthier version of a side dish or dessert.
Most importantly, count your blessings!

Much love,

Kat
