It can be difficult when your paycheck doesn't match your passion. 

That changed for me when I was invited to a class given by a fellow health coach who explained how essential oils work. I was skeptical at first because I wanted to stay focused on building my practice. But then I started using the oils to help me with my migraine headaches, digestive issues and my husband's sciatic pain.

What impressed me most was how fast they work. I found myself recommending them to my clients to support a variety of their health issues and they also saw great results.

Most of you know me. I'm not a "salesy" person. I believe in guiding people to make better choices for their health, not making that decision for them. What continues to amaze me is the oils practically sell themselves. I get calls all the time from folks who tell me they've resolved a myriad of health concerns. They sound so proud that they figured it out for themselves and that it actually worked. You can't put a price on that.

Often I discuss the oils during a health history to let prospective clients know I have more than one tool in my toolbox. I've found that clients who experience quick results from essential oils are often more open and motivated to follow through with health coaching recommendations.

Essential oils increased my credibility with my clients because they're seeing results. Initially, I had no interest in making this a business, but since the these oils are perfectly in line with my beliefs and mission to empower people to allow their bodies to heal naturally, it seems like a perfect fit for me. 

I've also learned that working hours for dollars is not the best use of my time, and a lot more stressful. I'm able to earn extra money from the oils that allows me to be more particular about the type of client I truly want to work with. One of my favorite sayings is, "work with the willing." When you're strapped for money, you tend to take on any client even if you get a gut feeling it's not the best fit for you. 

Are you thinking... Essential oils sound great, but I don’t have the time or money to take on another business? Or, I just want to coach, not sell products?

I was in that same place so I know where you're coming from. But when someone you're coaching has a headache, and that headache is relieved immediately by a drop of peppermint oil - they will be demanding to know where they can get more knowledge and products and the next thing you know, you're in business and getting checks in the mail!

My purpose and intent for this newsletter is to share what I have learned about the oils…how they work so well with wellness practices and how to earn additional income to supplement your health coaching practice.
