Who wins The Challenge Cup?
As yet, i'm not sure who i'm going with and i'm yet to comb through every horse in detail. However, I have been busy recording another big race video preview/walk through for you.
I've kept it to around 25 minutes which is good going for me, and long enough for these I think. 40 odd minutes may well be pushing it.
As usual there's a look at various different pointers to help in your puzzle solving endeavours - who's proven in conditions, who may be well handicapped, some trainer snippets, ratings, stats/trends of interest, and the pace. Who will be where and what does that mean for the result?

I'll get Saturday's post up after i've sent this email, and will include a poll for this race, so you can select who you'll be backing. We shall see if the wisdom of the crowd wins out. :)
Will the proven Ascot mud larks do best, Kynren and Raising Sand battling it out? (if the forecast rain arrives - it could be testing) Will the unexposed 3YO, River Nymph defy the weight/class rise and do best? Are they value to do so, or not? Should we be looking at a bigger price...
Will Ropey Guests recent win boost his confidence, a horse with some decent Group form, or will Jamie Spencer work his Ascot magic on Orbaann, hood off, dropping in trip - will he relish soft, or not? Will Admirality get his head in front again, or does Charlie Fellowes hold the answer to yet another Ascot straight course handicap? A fine puzzle indeed.
There's probably an easier C4 to attack somewhere, but where's the fun in that?
Much to ponder, and I hope my video walk through helps.
I doubt i'll email out tomorrow- any of my picks in the race, for what they're worth, will be up by 6pm this evening, along with the usual content. ( in the usual place >>>)
