Subject: Scoop 6 Email List / Craven Pointers / Scots National Eye-Catchers

Hello Friend

Three things for you today, and hopefully something of interest :)

1. Scoop 6 free email list - to receive information only

You may be surprised to hear that I don't like bombarding you with emails :) Yes yes I know I can do it at times, and I've been sending a few about David Leslie's Scoop 6 syndicates.

350+ of you have gone to his page in the last month, indicating some interest from week to week. I thought it would be a good idea to have a separate email list, where those of you interested will just receive info about those syndicates (as well as staying on this general list).

If you join that list, which you can unsubscribe from at any time, you will hear about the Scoop 6 more regularly, and it means I can stop sending too many (albeit still some) emails to the general list, when I know many of you may have no interest at all.

2. Craven Meeting Trainer Pointers

In today's free post I listed those horses that have qualified against my members' trainer pointers for this meeting (Charlie Appleby/ John Gosden / Richard Hannon have been the go-to trainers in recent years)

You can find those 'starting points' HERE>>>

I do like Kick On in the 3pm who was available at 3s. Richard Hannon usually has a big priced winner at this meeting also, just a question of landing on the right one!

3. Scottish Grand National

Hurrah - i managed to send you a decent priced winner of a big race! It had been a while, but it was nice to improve my decent record in that race - and it was much needed, let's be honest. The Irish Grand National on Monday will be next. Last year I did the double, and will be trying to do so again. Selections will be up on the free post on Monday but i'll email out also.

What were the eye-catchers?

Well it's not rocket science I suppose but the top 4/5 are worth tracking, given their profiles...

Obviously Crosspark has turned into a solid horse in those marathons now, as he clearly stays and jumps well. While he won't have any of the biggies in him next season I don't think (Welsh GN for example) you'd have to think he's winning another marathon chase at some point. His last two runs inc his Eider win have been very good.

Looking to the future...

Cloth Cap ... well if he stays sound you'd like to think he's got some very nice pots in him, and given his owner, you'd think he will get a spin over the National fences at Aintree one day, and maybe even the big one next year or the year after. This was a superb run from one so inexperienced and he was staying on again at the end. He travelled well behind the pace and jumped well. I don't know why Jonjo didn't get a run into him, that may have cost him victory - I think he hit a flat spot then got a second wind. In any case, he's going to be of serious interest in decent races next year. They may have a tilt at the Bet365 chase at the end of the season, i'm not sure. One to track.

Blue Flight... this was a superb run under 11-00 for a 6 year old. He ran better than I thought he would given those two factors. He'd had a couple of hard races before this also, inc under a welter burden at Kelso. In theory he may be even better next season after a summer at grass. He looks a unit and could still fill out. He clearly stays. Twister likes Aintree/the national fences also, and he's one to keep onside next season. I wonder if they may have a go at The Becher chase.

Big River... twice now this horse has lost his position, jumped poorly, and flown home at the end. He was hampered here but i'm not sure that cost him. He just can't hold a position at the moment. However, when it all clicks he's going to decimate a field in one of these staying handicaps - it could be he needs a proper bog to slow everything down, i'm not sure. Maybe some CP would help him. Given his running style you'd always want a price but he should be winning a decent handicap at some point next season. The odd muddy chase at Haydock may suit him.

So, while those three are obvious, I was impressed with their runs for various reasons. This race can point to plenty of future staying-chase winners. They made up my shortlist of 7 for the race, thankfully I landed on the winner, but the other 3 who were all 20s+, may still be running, not that it matters!

That's the lot for today.

Don't forget if you have any interest in The Scoop 6, you can join my new email list HERE>>>

Obviously there's no obligation to play, it's simply a list I can use to inform you about the Scoop6 that week.

All the best
