It's been rather quiet on the jumps front so far this week and fingers crossed some of tomorrow's meetings survive - sadly I suspect some may pass morning inspections only to be called off late morning when the wind and rain really hits, but hopefully not! Anything that runs at Haydock may well be leaving their season there I suspect.

For now... some wind op stats for Nicky Henderson. 

I've been going through my last two 'Festival Review' posts and i'll pull them into one post laster in the month, as there's plenty to ponder which may help us all land on some winners this year - however in last year's review post I touched on Henderson's record with horses having 1st start after a wind op - this came on the back of William Henry winning at the Festival on his first start after surgery, which was no mean feat. 

Given it's been quiet I thought I may as well highlight the stats today, for you to note down and use moving forwards if you wish. 

Having just used the excellent Geegeez Gold Query tool to check how Henderson's stats are stacking up, they continue to tick along. 

So, Nicky Henderson Trained (all runners) 

59 bets / 18 wins / 29p / 31% sr / +36 SP / AE 1.38 / Impact Value 2.72 

51 bets / 14 wins / 22p / 27% sr / +18 SP / AE 1.00 / IV 2.54 

Nicky Henderson appears to know the time of day with wind ops... both knowing which horses may need them and making sure they're tuned up for when they return. Obviously he has plenty of good ammo and it could be those stats will level off over time - but the win% SR is very good and would indicate that any such horse is worth a very close look. Odds allowing, the stats suggest it's best assuming the wind op may spark some improvement, initially at least and with his horses it isn't a reason to be put off.
