Subject: 🏇[Free Post] April 'Trainers to Follow'

Hello Friend

April Trainers to Follow

Time always appears to fly by during the main jumps season for me and another March has nearly been and gone, but with much to look forward to in the final month of the 'winter jumps'.

The 'March Trainers' I sent you a few weeks back had a really good time of it...

  • Harry Fry: 7/16, 11p, +11.38 SP, +15.44 BFSP

  • Ian Williams: 3/9,3p, +3 SP, +5.28 BFSP

  • Total: 10/25, 14p, +14.38 SP, +20.72 BFSP

That takes the total for the 'monthly trainers' since Oct 1st to +50.72 points BFSP.

+£126.80p to £2.50 bets on the machine, not to be sniffed at, for a bit of fun/low risk. Those that have used as a ‘way in’ may well have done even better but with any luck they’ve helped you land on a winner or two through the season.

With that in mind I've found two jumps trainers to keep an eye on in April.

Obviously the last time I emailed you I sent out a couple of losers! That appears to be the way most of the time with this free list, some would say a fine advert for my skills!! :)

Still, they both ran well and frustratingly Hard To Forget had one of his going days, and he tends to hack up when he does. In fairness he has plenty of going days.

I did make some notes post race, as I usually do, and there were a couple of 'notebook horses' if you like that sort of thing...

The two eye-catchers… Captain Biggles… he’s gone very well for a time and was still close enough off the bend, before tiring. He generally jumped well (it was his chase debut, no point experience), did race wide giving up loads of ground (but to get a sight of his fences no doubt) and in the context he’ll no doubt come on plenty for the run. He could pop up in his next 1-3 starts. One for the trackers and some of his novice hurdle form reads well, I suspect 118 (and should be dropped) could look lenient at some stage.

Frau Georgia – well I don’t know if PU due to an issue or whether she badly needed the run. She cruised around I thought and wasn’t far off them four out, Sam hadn’t moved off the bend, but then she’s gone backwards. She did PU after a break last season though. Hopefully it was just fitness but I liked how she moved through that and she’s entitled to run in 0-110s, lesser races than that. On this evidence she’ll pop up in the summer somewhere, provided she didn't have an issue there.

That's all for today and may be all for this week, we shall see.

I've got the Scottish National to get stuck into which has been kind to me, with three of the last six winners found on the blog at 25s, 40s and 25s. I'll be working hard to find another one but doubt I'll be cursing those picks by emailing them out. As the flat gets rolling I'll endeavour to record a few more video previews of some of those big handicaps.

Anyway, enjoy the rest of your day,

Happy Punting,

Josh
