Subject: Stop should'ing on yourself Friend?

Now more than ever Friend, stop should'ing on yourself!

Do you find yourself saying or thinking...

"I shouldn't be thinking this",                     "I shouldn't be feeling this way"
"I really should do more..."                        "I should stop.."

Or a number of other 'should' type thoughts or feelings...

The truth of the matter is that right now more than ever, it's important for you to practice compassion.

These are uncertain times, unpredictable times, and this gives rise to an array of emotions and thoughts that are vulnerable, difficult. 

It's normal!  And no, there is nothing wrong with you for thinking or feeling the way that you do.

JUST.BE.WITH.WHAT.IS.

Give yourself the space to grieve, to feel what's there, to work on something or do NOTHING at all.

Just for now Friend, don't beat yourself up about ANYTHING.                                        IT.DOES.NOT.SERVE.YOU.

For now, just be kind, patient, accepting, forgiving, compassionate, trusting and loving. Be that for YOURSELF and for OTHERS.

Throw all the SHOULDS out the window... just for now. They will be there when it's time to pick them back up (because I know you will - we all will  ☺) but maybe, just maybe, we'll do it with a lot more compassion than ever before.

For now... smell a flower, read a book, take a bubble bath, journal, cry to a friend, watch black & white movies, listen to a podcast, paint a painting, do a collage, cook a special meal, start the course you've been thinking about. work with a coach to become the best version of yourself... but whatever you do... do it because you WANT TO, CHOOSE TO and not because you SHOULD!!!
