Live Book Marketing Primer Course

I'm just finalising the details before I send the sign-up information around regarding a live course for authors who have no idea where to start or how to approach book marketing. This course focuses on ethical marketing and the tools and approach you'll need for a slow and steady process of building an loyal audience base.

This is a 10-week course with a 1-hour live zoom meeting each week, which includes presentation + Q&A. It is recorded so those who can't make it, or who want to rewatch, will be able to. There is also a facebook group for facilitating discussion among participants.

The cost for Basic membership for the course is £100.

Premium membership includes tech setup by me (a website + e-mail manager + any training desired to use each) for ~~£500~~ £450.

Special membership (1/2 price - £50) is available to those who took the course last time and want a refresher.

Learn from Successful Authors - The Alternate Futures Podcast

For those who enjoy podcasts, I run the Alternate Futures podcast (anchor.fm/alternate-futures) where I interview independent science fiction authors. For the first half of the show, we talk about their path to writing and their strategies for writing and publishing.

I've had many successful authors on the show, including million book seller Sarah Woodbury. So, even if you don't enjoy science fiction, there's a lot of good information to be found.

Books and Beverages

Finally, the Harrogate Library Books and Beverages author interviews is running again this year (first Friday of each month, 1:30pm), but we're also expanding.

For those interested in watching, but not able to make it, we stream live to Facebook and we upload the recordings to YouTube.

We're also expanding to a blog, to add extra content on the authors, their books, and writing experiences in general.
