Motivation is a Luxury. Discipline is a Necessity!
During the current pandemic, and associated lockdowns, a common request I received was for advice on how to keep motivated for solo-training. My own view is that motivation is a “nice to have”, but the vital thing is discipline!
Train even when you don’t feel motivated to do so! You’ll feel better for having done so, you will keep making progress, and then the motivation will return.
I shared this thought via social media and a few people remarked it would make for a good t-shirt … so here you are!
The front chest is my dojo logo / seal with the writing “Abernethy Practical Karate”. The back print has the design, “Motivation is a Luxury. Discipline is a Necessity”.
