Please find information below to assist in your preparations for travel to Sydney. IAGR and our Australian hosts are creating a very active and memorable week.

registrations received through today. Over 170 delegates are confirmed to gather at the IAGR Sydney 2016 event. Delegates may reference this list to set up meetings in advance or for general networking. Kindly reserve access to this list to
registered IAGR Conference delegates.

Tuesday Program - 8:30 AM Start |

|
With so many sessions to present during our time in Sydney, please especially note the early start on Tuesday, 01 November at 8:30 AM with the Welcome & Opening Remarks. Complete details

Sydney is located in the Southern Hemisphere with springtime just beginning in Australia. Average daily temperatures in Sydney range from 11C-23C (52F-74F) but can reach as warm as 30's Celsius (mid-80's F). |

|
|
|
Attendees will find numerous options for transportation from Sydney International Airport to their respective hotels.
Taxi
The taxi rank is located directly outside
the Sydney International Airport (Terminal T1). The rank is serviced by a
kerbside management team to allocate taxis to passengers. A one-way taxi fare from
Sydney Airport to Darling Harbour and Sydney CBD is approximately $45-55 (AUD),
based on non-peak conditions (morning peak hour is typically 6.30am to 9.00am
and the afternoon peak is 4.30pm to 7pm).
Shuttle
buses
There are
several companies which operate out of Sydney Airport. Shuttle bus desks are
located on the arrivals level at the International terminal (T1). Shuttle
services can be arranged upon arrival and are a more cost-effective transport
option, costing approximately $15-20 (AUD) per passenger. Some shuttle services
can offer pick-ups and drop-offs directly to hotels located in Darling Harbour
and the Sydney CBD, however, others will drop off at designated locations/
landmarks. It is worth noting shuttle services that offer drop-offs to
accommodation will often transport several passengers, so delegates should
allow additional travel time.
Train
Sydney International
Airport (Terminal T1) has its own train station, located underground which
offers a direct link to the centre of the city. The closest train station to
Darling Harbour and the ParkRoyal Hotel is 'Town Hall'. The approximate cost of
a train fare to Town Hall is $13.40 (AUD).
Private chauffeured transfers
Offer private
transport from Sydney International Airport (Terminal T1). Chauffeurs usually
greet and pick-up passengers, pack their bags into the car and provide
transport in a luxury car to the hotel. Chauffeured services must be
pre-booked, the approximate cost is $100+ (AUD). Listed below are some private

Attendees will receive a conference guide when they check into the IAGR Sydney 2016 Conference Registration Desks outside the Blackwattle Ballroom at the ParkRoyal Darling Harbour Hotel.
Please locate the pull-out guide in the middle of the booklet which includes a list of nearby restaurants, a map of event-related venues and points of interest around the ParkRoyal Conference Hotel, Darling Harbour, the CBD and The Rocks & Circular Quay near the Opera House & Sydney Harbour Bridge. Keep this handy as reference for any personal exploration during your stay in Sydney.
