President's Comments

IAGR President, Jason Lane, introduces the newly reinvigorated Member's Newsletter. In this, the first edition of 2022, Jason takes the opportunity to reflect upon IAGR's achievements across 2021, with the notable achievements of the success of the IAGR 2021: Disrupting The Regulator conference in Boston, the inaugural IAGR International Regulatory Awards and forging partnerships with the iGSA, Focus Gaming News and IMGL.

Jason also takes this opportunity to discuss importance of building and maintaining relationships, IAGR's priorities for 2022, the efforts being made to bring members the IAGR 2022: A Kickstart for Collaboration event, and the expanded IAGR 2022 International Regulatory Awards.

RESEARCH REVIEW: GREO

IAGR partner, GREO, provides IAGR members with a snapshot of regulatory approaches to online gambling from around the world.

IAGR 2022: A KICKSTART FOR COLLABORATION

IAGR is proud to announce all of the latest inside information as we prepare for the 2022 iteration of our annual conference. 

IAGR 2022: A Kickstart for Collaboration is being held in Melbourne, Australia. IAGR, in conjunction with host jurisdiction the Victorian Gambling and Casino Control Commission, look forward to welcoming you to one of the most beautiful cities in the world.


IAGR has opened its awards program, the International Regulatory Awards, and invites members to nominate their outstanding regulatory efforts. Nominations are open until 30 August.

The awards capture a breadth of positive initiatives in gaming regulation from across the globe. Nominations are welcome from all fully accredited IAGR members.

An international judging panel will select winners from the following three categories:
  • Regulatory excellence – recognising excellence in gaming policy and regulation
  • Regulatory innovation – recognising a new or innovative policy and regulatory approaches
  • Best regulatory campaign – recognising the most creative, compelling, and impactful responsible gambling/safer gambling communication campaign

IAGR COMMITTEE UPDATE
NEW CHAIR OF THE IAGR STATISTICS ADVISORY COMMITTEE

The International Associations of Gaming Regulators is pleased to announce the appointment of Kasper Vestergaard Frandsen as Chair of the IAGR Statistics Advisory Committee.

Kasper is a founding member of the IAGR Statistics committee and assumes the role of Chair in addition to his role as a Special Advisor / Market Analyst with the Danish Gambling Authority. 

With a background in economics, leadership and management Kasper has been instrumental in running many of the surveys undertaken by the committee, hosting meetings in Denmark and driving the committee’s annual work plans. Kasper also sits on the GREF InfoStat working group.
