The Host Jurisdiction has arranged numerous networking activities
for delegates to make the most of their time in Johannesburg.

Opening Reception
The Opening Reception will be held on Monday, 16 October in the foyer of the Fabia Rooms adjacent to the CODESA WALKWAY - the historically former World Trade Centre CODESA TALKS venue, at the Emperors Palace Hotel Casino Convention Resort.

A lovely evening is planned to welcome all attendees to Johannesburg to officially start the week's activities.
Gala Dinner & After Dinner Drinks
The Host Jurisdiction is creating a wonderful Gala Dinner experience for the 2017 Johannesburg Conference Delegates at Sun International's Time Square in Menlyn, Pretoria. The dinner will be held on Wednesday, 18 October.

Since the Thursday tour has been modified, there will be no time to visit the world-famous Vilakazi Street in Soweto.  Instead, the Conference Host is bringing Vilakazi Street to IAGR. Delegates will find recreations of famous landmarks and a live African Market as we gather for the dinner event.

Delegates are also invited for an after-dinner drinks networking event at the Altitude Restaurant at Time Square Casino. This outdoor rooftop garden will provide a lovely setting to end the third day of the Johannesburg Conference.

Transportation will be provided to the Gala Dinner and back to the Emperors Palace. Shuttle buses will run back to the hotel immediately after the Gala Dinner for those who do not plan to attend the After-Dinner Drinks.

Please listen for announcements throughout the day on Wednesday for the time and place to board the shuttle buses to dinner.

Afternoon Tour & Closing Dinner
To enjoy the full experience at two of the region's premier venues, the Thursday, 19 October afternoon tour has been redesigned to allow a full two hours at the Lion Park followed by another two hours at the Apartheid Museum.

The Lion Park provides guests with a unique opportunity for a close encounter with the majestic animals of Africa as well as other indigenous game including spotted hyena, wild dog, cheetah, and many more.
The Apartheid Museum complex is dedicated to illustrating apartheid and the 20th century history of South Africa. The museum is a beacon of hope showing the world how South Africa is coming to terms with its oppressive past and working towards a future that all South Africans can call their own. The museum illustrates the rise and fall of apartheid.

Shuttle buses will be provided for the afternoon tour and closing dinner. Delegates have the option to return to the Emperors Palace hotel complex after the Apartheid museum or to proceed to the Closing Dinner venue. Please listen for announcements throughout the morning on Thursday for the time and place to board the shuttle buses for the afternoon tour.

The Host Jurisdiction will hold the closing dinner at the Back O' The Moon Restaurant at Gold Reef City for attendees to celebrate a successful week at the IAGR 2017 Conference and to bid goodbye to Johannesburg.

See you in Johannesburg!
