Opening Reception
IAGR 2018 Conference Delegates will be welcomed at the Opening Reception on Monday, September 17 at the Copenhagen Town Hall.

The Town Hall is a brief walk from the Hotel Scandic Copenhagen (a 15-minute walk).

Copenhagen City Hall is the headquarters of the municipal council as well as the Lord mayor of the Copenhagen Municipality, Denmark.

The building is situated on The City Hall Square in central Copenhagen, and was built in the years 1892-1905. It was designed by the architect Martin Nyrop in the National Romantic style, drawing inspiration from the Siena City Hall, Italy. City Hall is one of the tallest buildings in Copenhagen, and offers a great view of the city.

Canal Cruise
A canal cruise has been organized for IAGR attendees to see the city of Copenhagen late in the afternoon on Tuesday, September 18.

Attendees are encouraged to wear warm clothing and comfortable shoes. Please plan to bring a sweater or jacket and an umbrella to be prepared for seasonal weather changes during the cruise networking event.
Guided Walk/Run
On Wednesday morning, September 19, the Host Jurisdiction will offer a guided run and walk around the beautiful Lakes of Copenhagen. These lakes are known as 'The Lakes' and consist of three rectangular lakes.

Plan to start the morning with an energy boosting exercise, and be ready for an informative day of speakers and panels.

Gala Dinner
The Host Jurisdiction is creating a wonderful Gala Dinner experience for the 2018 Copenhagen Conference Delegates at the H.C. Andersen Castle at the Tivoli Gardens on Wednesday evening, September 19.

The Hans Christian Andersen Castle & Tivoli Gardens is a brief 10-minute walk from the Hotel Scandic Copenhagen.

Noted as the second-oldest amusement park in the world, the Tivoli Garden gates were opened for the first time in 1843 and, among the guests, was Hans Christian Andersen, who was inspired to write the fairy tale 'The Nightingale'.
Airport Transportation
The Host Jurisdiction Danish Gambling Authority recommends that attendees take the trains from the airport into City Center as this is the quickest and most reasonable cost. There are also other options to use the metro or hire a taxi. Further information is located on the main Conference Homepage.
