Dear colleague

The global gaming environment is undergoing a period of unprecedented change and disruption.

The industry is being shaped at speed by factors such as artificial intelligence, big data, blockchain, increased risks and security challenges, and changing regulatory models. Alongside this evolving landscape, technology is advancing rapidly and human behaviour is adapting just as quickly.

This rapid evolution in gaming technology and consumption means we don't yet have the full picture on how the sector will evolve, and the opportunities and challenges for industry and regulators.

Yet despite this, as gaming regulators we need to identify and mitigate the risks and confront the challenges, without smothering innovation and industry development. This is not straightforward.

The International Association of Gaming Regulators 2019 conference – IAGR2019 – will help inform your thinking about these issues and connect you with senior regulatory and industry leaders from around the world.
