This week we will read Jesus’ landowner parable and talk about how countercultural it all is - that in God’s kin-dom some people will be paid a fair day’s wages for being less productive than others. What do our emotional reactions to this concept say about the state of work in American Christendom? And what does it mean when Jesus says “Are you envious because I am generous?” Looking forward to imagining God’s heaven on earth and all the affirming space it holds for any of us who are disabled, disorganized, or distracted.
