As I look back at the conference I see even more #groundsforoptimism emerging from our energising conversations.
Throughout our newly introduced "TRUTH UNMUTED" series we witnessed real debates, with a high level of engagement from speakers and delegates alike - some quite opinionated and some politely ‘agreeing to disagree’! But one sure thing: everyone is looking forward to convening again next year and continue the debate.
New on the agenda was also a day dedicated to China - testament also to the resilience of our local partners, speakers and delegates to come together and continue these crucial conversations despite disruptions from the repeated lockdowns.
Another first that finds its place in the FFA legacy is ANPOLY becoming the first startup from South Korea to win the Future Food Asia Award. The spotlight is on South Korea now with fellow startup The Plant Eat Inc. receiving the Cargill Food for Good Award.
And finally, boosting circular economy and closing the loop in food and agriculture have found their way to the top, competing with alternative proteins as the next big area of innovation. Keep an eye on these sectors, there is more to come!
