Hi Friend
Dwayne Johnson. AKA The Rock…
Can teach you a thing or two about growing your business if you follow his lead.
And no, you don’t need a following the size of his to get started.
You can start with zero.
I watched a short clip from a podcast the other day that was titled something like this:
The Rock's true character exposed.
(Clickbaity, I know, but hey, it worked).
It was a guy talking about DJ (What his friends call him 😜) walking on set to start filming for the day.
There were hundreds of people there.
Actors. Film crew. Makeup artists. You get the picture.
And DJ walked by every single person…
And said Hi to every one of them.
Knew them all by name. Even knew the names of their children and grandparents.
You see, Dwayne had taken the time to get to know everyone he was working with at filming.
Because of it, he’s grown a massive army of loyal and raving fans.
You can adopt this same process right now to grow your fitness business.
If you work in a gym setting, it could be even easier.
Many personal trainers complain they can’t get clients even though they work in big box commercial gyms.
Yet when you visit one of these gyms, where do you see the majority of PTs?
Hiding in the office, posting on social media to grow their following and “build the business”.
How often do you see these trainers walking the gym floor, talking to members and being decent humans?
(I’m generalising, of course. This is what I see in the gym, however).
And these same trainers are complaining they can’t get clients. Nobody wants to work with them etc. etc.
Suppose you’re struggling with this. The next time you’re in the gym, lock your phone away…
And walk around, saying hello to the members. Then, offer to help them on the spot for free.
Talk to them. Find out what makes them tick.
What is their goal? Why are they at the gym in the first place?
You’ll be blown away by what you’ll learn.
Offer them a free ebook to help them achieve their goals. Get them on your email list and send them emails that speak to the problems they tell you about when you’re talking to them.
Too often, people want the latest fancy software or newest marketing hack to grow a business…
When often you already have everything you already need.
Try it the next time you’re stuck and can’t find clients.
It takes some time, patience and dedication. You’ll get there in the end.
I’m rooting for you Friend.
Best wishes,
Naomi.
Ps. The digital equivalent to this is to start conversations in the DMs. No, you don’t have to be sleazy and try to sell and close people. Operate with the same mindset. Start conversations. Who knows where it might lead?
Pps. Let me know if you need help with resources to offer freebies to those you speak to. We have loads you can use.
