Subject: Do less, not more.

Hi Friend,

Today is my first 'proper' day back to work after the Christmas break.

I don't know about you, but I often find it hard starting up again after a week of pretty much no structure! It can take a little while to get back into gear!

The desire to 'hit the ground running', especially with it being a fresh New Year is there, but so is the sluggishness caused by going 'off track' with my nutrition and exercise.

With that said, I think us humans are pretty adaptable and things quickly get easier once we are back into a routine and being more consistent with nutrition.

This year for me is about going easy on myself and not being afraid to ask for help.

I can be my worst enemy at times, generally wanting to do everything myself, and risking running myself into the ground. I could definitely do with delegating more to others.

This month's teaching tools (part of our monthly membership offering) talks about taking a more gentle approach to the year ahead.

It's less about wanting more, always trying to be the best, comparing ourselves to others and placing unnecessary stress and pressure on ourselves...

and it's more about scheduling in some much needed 'downtime', taking our foot off the gas a little, and getting more relaxation into our lives.

As business owners (many of us with dependants) the constant pressure to graft, hustle and provide can have a detrimental effect on us and those around us. If we aren’t careful, life can risk becoming a chore.

Is that really why we are in this game?

Of course not. Life should be about balance and enjoyment.

How about we look after ourselves more and enjoy some well-deserved self-care in 2019?

Who's in?!

Wishing you a Happy New Year!

Best wishes

Naomi
