Subject: Do less, not more.

Hi Friend,

Today is my first 'proper' day back to work after the Christmas break. 

I don't know about you, but I tend to have mixed feelings about starting up again after a week of pretty much no structure! It can take a little while to get back into gear! 

The desire to 'hit the running running', especially with it being a fresh New Year is there, but so is the sluggishness caused by going 'off track' with nutrition and exercise.

That said, I think us humans are pretty adaptable and once we've started being more consistent again, things quickly get easier. 

This month's teaching tools (part of our monthly membership) talks about taking a gentler approach to the year ahead and looking after ourselves more.

For many of us, the pressure to graft, hustle and provide can have a negative effect on us and those around us, and life can risk becoming a chore. 

Life should be more about balance and enjoyment.

It's less about wanting more, trying to always be the best, comparing ourselves to others and placing unnecessary stress and pressure on ourselves...

And more about scheduling in regular 'downtime', taking our foot off the gas a little, and getting more relaxation into our lives. 

I know I'm definitely going to be making more effort to go easy on myself this year!
