Dear Families,

What do you do when life’s storms come upon you? Do you step out in faith or react in fear? Dr. Jobe Martin, a favorite speaker at the Family Conferences and communicator on various current topics for Christian homes, has an excellent one for all of us.

In this Message of the Month, Dr. Martin reminds us that every trial is designed to show us more of God’s grace and strength. Because of this, rather than cringing or fleeing in fear, believers can welcome each storm confidently. He states, “Jesus turned the frightful storm into an amazing picture of His awesome power. That’s what He wants to do with your storms.” Because of this, “The trial of faith is much more precious than gold. Do you see it that way?”

Dr. Martin also shares that trials are made worse when we respond in the flesh. He says, “The trials of our lives become more difficult when our thoughts are on ourselves instead of on Christ and those around us.” The storms of life will come. Are you going to respond in faith and love, or in fear and selfishness?
We hope you enjoy this Message of the Month and that God uses it to build courageous faith in your heart and life.

In Christ,

The Family Conferences Team
