Dear Families,


The crucifixion of Jesus Christ stands as the greatest event that has ever taken place in all of history. It is a basic truth, the foundation for our Christian faith, and provides eternal life for all who believe.


Sometimes we need to review the basics, whether in education, music, or any other area of life. The “basics” are the foundation upon which further growth can be made. For example, addition and subtraction are the foundation for multiplication and division. Scales and chords are the foundation for musical composition.

In our spiritual lives, the cross of Jesus Christ is that basic foundation of our faith (Isaiah 28:16). Without Jesus’ death on the cross, there would be no hope for our salvation. Without His resurrection, our justification could not be complete (Romans 4:25). Without Christ’s suffering, Genesis 3:15 could not be fulfilled.
