Before I take some time off to rest, reflect and spend time with my family, I wanted to thank you for all of your support this year.
Life with chronic illness is challenging at the best of times and I can't count the amount of times that knowing you "get me" has helped lift my spirits.
I wish you the best celebration possible and that 2021 brings you every good thing that you so richly deserve.
Put yourself first, take very good care of you and protect your precious energy like the gold that it is.
No matter what others expectations are of you, you are not here to live up to them! You need to do what is best for you because that way, everyone benefits from a better feeling you. Trust me, Friend, I am taking my own advice!
As soon as I send this email I am beginning my well deserved time off which includes a social media break and I will be back at work again in the second week of January 2021.
I am going to see some family members that because of distance and Covid, I haven't seen in at least a year, have a small, late Christmas dinner with my family here on Boxing day and doing some reflecting on the year that was and the things I want to bring into my life in the new year.
I am also going to get out all of my art supplies, organised them and do some creating, including teaching myself some faux calligraphy. It's been calling to me for ages and I can't wait to sit down and use all the colours!
