How to adapt to living with Chronic illness part 1.
Hi Friend,

It's been a while, hasn't it.

Life has narrowed down for me to what I can do right now without risking burnout.

Because that's what we need to do as people living with chronic illness when the tough things in life happen.

Here's an update of where I am at right now that I shared on social media and I hope it also helps you give yourself permission to let go of the non essentials when you need to be present for other things.

I haven’t done a personal update for a while because to be honest, this has been such a hard year for me as I’m challenged in ways I haven’t ever been before.

My Dads death and all that’s come with it is hard. Grieving while trying to work, sort out his estate and deal with lawyers, real estate agents, banks and contracts, all while managing my illnesses is doable, but challenging and there’s no end in sight as yet.

So my focus is my health, my clients and my family so podcasts and posts will be sporadic and when I feel inspired.

Being there for my family and leaning on the people I love to share our sadness and love is a priority and now more than ever, I take so much satisfaction and comfort from my work, because I am blessed to work with such courageous, amazing people.

When you are in the thick of grief, which I know so many of us are right now, when life is uncertain and there’s so much you can’t control, it’s so important to pare things back to what is essential for you.

Especially the things and people who truly matter to you.

Identify what you need to stay as well, rested, nourished and as safe as you can, because your life and your presence matters.

And this is even more important when the situation you are experiencing has no clear end in sight and the world isn’t the way you thought it was.

Sending so much love to everyone who is grieving right now.

May you find the love and support that you need.

New Podcast.

Most of my new clients with chronic illness are starting from a place of complete overwhelm and feeling like they are sitting in the wreckage of their lives and wondering, 'where do I even start to deal with this?'

So let's talk about overcoming that overwhelm and finding ways to help yourself take back some sense of direction and control.

In this episode which will be a series, I start breaking down the first steps you need to take to start adapting to living your new life with chronic illness.

This includes:
  • Processing all the emotions
  • How to get the information you need
  • First steps to working out what you can do to help yourself
  • What your priorities need to be
  • How to manage the disbelief.
If you are feeling totally overwhelmed and need some direction and validation, then this podcast is for you.

Make sure you listen and share and if you want to help me reach more people who need to hear this, I would so appreciate it if you would leave a positive review on your favorite podcast player!

Let’s help educate and spread the word of the practical realities and emotional issues that becoming chronically ill bring from those who know it best.

It is only by sharing our stories and experiences that we can help someone else know that they are not alone when it comes to chronic illness.
