When others don't support how you choose to manage your illness.
Hey Friend,

It's hard to believe but today is my 10th Hashiversary and the real beginning of my life with chronic illness and all of the changes it brought and the changes I've made.

Each new diagnosis or health crisis have brought (along with processing all the emotions that come with it), tweaking and changing things in my life in my ongoing goal to get the best possible health available to me now.

And there have been so many changes Friend and many of them have been criticised, needed to be fought for or met with judgement or fear from others who either can't or don't want to understand.

Along with people who have flat out told me that what I am doing is dangerous, will cause an eating disorder or will not help me in any way at all.

But here's the thing: it really is up to us!

We know what we are willing to sacrifice to try to help ourselves potentially heal or what we want to change to better manage our symptoms and our lives.

We are all doing the best we can and when so many people won't support you, then what can you do?

Find out in the latest episode of my Emotional Autoimmunity Podcast.

New Podcast.

Chronic illness changes every aspect of your life and a large part of that is figuring out ways to best manage your symptoms and protect your energy.

The biggest problem is though that other people can get in the way of that.

Whether it's Doctors not supporting the treatment options you want, friends or family criticising or judging the changes you are making or having to deal with others fear, concern or disapproval, it adds another big challenge to an already overwhelming situation.

When chronic illness already leaves you feeling isolated, criticised and struggling, how do you cope when others don't support how you choose to manage your illness?

Find out how in this episode of the Emotional Autoimmunity podcast.

Make sure you listen and share and if you want to help me reach more people who need to hear this, I would so appreciate it if you would leave a positive review on your favorite podcast player!

Let’s help educate and spread the word of the practical realities and emotional issues that becoming chronically ill bring from those who know it best.

It is only by sharing our stories and experiences that we can help someone else know that they are not alone when it comes to chronic illness.
