The top 5 Chronic illness irrational thoughts. New podcast.
Hi Friend,

While things are currently chaos here right now as my youngest son is moving out tomorrow, thank goodness I have still managed to get a new podcast out to you in the midst of it all.

There are things everywhere, lots of his mates in and out making plans and even more mess but somehow I am sure it will all come together and I will begin my new life being home alone.

My plans at the moment are to have a major clear out and declutter of things I no longer need or want, get things cleaned up and maybe, set up an art and music room for myself?

Of course, much of that will depend on how my physical energy is, what my symptoms are doing and how much mental bandwidth I actually have and as you well know Friend, that's constantly changing!

New Podcast

Irrational thoughts, otherwise known in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy circles as Cognitive Distortions, are something that everyone experiences.

The problem with these irrational thoughts is that they can and do influence our behaviour, emotions, beliefs and relationships and they are key contributors to high levels of stress.

They are also the biggest drivers of things like guilt, anxiety, depression, overwhelm, hopelessness and relationship issues.

While there are many known and common cognitive distortions that have been identified, when it comes to chronic illness, there are five that are the most globally experienced and the most damaging.

In this episode of the Emotional Autoimmunity podcast, I take you through The top 5 Chronic Illness irrational thoughts, how we use them and more importantly, what you can do to challenge and overcome them.

Some of them may even surprise you.

Have a listen on the blog by clicking on the link in the image below, or search and subscribe to The Emotional Autoimmunity Podcast on your favorite podcast player and if you get some good from this episode, please share it with your friends and community.
