| Hi Friend,
A few mornings ago, I found myself not wanting to get out of bed. I checked in with my energy which is now a habit, just to see where I am at. It was average. Life is do-able with average.
So I checked in with my body and it felt ok. Nothing major, a few grumbles but good to go.
Then I felt tears filling my eyes and a deep sadness come over me but my conscious mind was struggling to connect the sadness to something tangible, something wrong.
Then my small, quiet, voice of intuition said “you have lost yourself” and I made the connection.
The past few months I have been busier than I have ever been since chronic illness.
Early mornings, later nights, new projects, stepping outside my comfort zone.
Which has caused me to come up against new limitations that I never used to have pre-illness.
To be forced to realise that my energy truly does have limits and when the limit is reached, my energy drops and I hit the very new “Wednesday wall” where I feel utterly exhausted.
Not in the way I did at my worst, but in a new way that reminds me of just how much my life has changed.
How much I have changed.
I have lost myself, my old self and I am still feeling my way into the unknown boundaries and limitations of this new me.
So I choose to sit with the grief that comes with that and hold it close and listen to it and comfort it as best I can.
I know it will pass but for now, its here and I honour it because it hurts to be reminded that you have lost yourself.
Can you relate?
Chronic illness is a series of griefs and adjustments that has an impact on every single area of your life, then just when you think you have a handle on it, something new comes up to try to knock you down again, leaving you feeling isolated, exhausted and alone.
But it doesn't have to be that way Friend.
What if you had more resilience?
How much better would you be able to manage things if you were no longer carrying all the emotional weight of the trauma, stress and pain of the past?
What would happen if there was a way that your relationship with your partner was more open, connected and supportive?
More importantly, how would you feel if you had the skills and resources to deal better with the change and uncertainty and feel back in control of your life, health and happiness again?
You are never fully lost to yourself and the real you, the essential you is still there inside, needing some support, insight, guidance and new skills to still be the best version of you that you can be.
I would so love to help you find yourself again and the very first step in booking in for your FREE Discovery Session with me, all online using Zoom video.
