Subject: Do you know what you want?

"When the Student is Ready the Teacher Appears"

Hi Friend it's me again,

I was just thinking back today on when I got started in my Personal Development journey and I wanted to share a quick story with you.

It was back in the 90’s and I use to watch the infomercials on TV and see Tony Robbins CD sets advertised.

At that time, I had no idea about the personal development industry, but I just knew that Tony was a big name on the television.

I remember picking up the phone and making the call to buy his sets ‘Get the Edge’ and ‘Personal Power’ which I still own today.

I do not even really know why I brought them to be honest, but we were in business at the time and maybe something in the ad prompted me to think I needed them.

They arrived in the mail and I put in the first CD in the computer and started to listen.

Tony started to ask me what it was that I really wanted…..

I thought “What do you mean?”

I don’t know what I want, I thought you were suppose to help me figure that out…

I just did not understand what he meant

I put the CD’s away after listening to the first one, and they collected dust for approximately 10 years.

Later I was introduced to the Network Marketing Industry and that was when my quest for personal development truly began.

Finally, I started to understand what Tony meant all those years later.

You see…. Originally, I was not ready for what he had to teach me.

I didn’t ‘get it’

So I started to listen again….

From that day, Tony’s influence started to change the course of my life.

“When the student is ready, the teacher appears”

If you chose to follow in Tony’s footsteps and become a Life Coach or you are some type of Expert or Thought Leader then you more than likely already know what you want.

If for some reason you are still questioning this like I was, here are some things you can ask yourself to gain some more clarity:

  1. What are the things I am most passionate about?
  2. What are my greatest accomplishments in life so far?
  3. If my life had absolutely no limits, what would I choose to have and what would I choose to do?
  4. What are my goals in life? (health, business, family etc)
  5. Whom do I admire most in the world?
  6. What do I not like to do?
  7. How hard am I willing to work to get what I want?

You know, number 7 is one I come across a lot from people I meet or even clients I have served that have a big dream.

I believe some people can live in denial about what it really takes to become wildly successful.

I for one, know how hard it is.

For 20 years of my life I worked hard and made multiple sacrifices only to lose it all and have to start over.

But I am willing to do it all over again because we can only save ourselves and when you are passionate about what you do, it is worth the fight!

I would love it if you replied to me, with your big ambitious dream! (they say if it is not big enough to scare you, then it is not big enough)
